Well, the cold I’ve been dodging for weeks has finally caught up with me. I was prepared to dose myself with NyQuil last night, hoping lots of sleep would help me avoid the worst of it, but my NyQuil apparently expired in May. Say it with me: Noooooooooooooooooo!
As it were, I slept in two-hour increments, giving up around 5:00 a.m. to read this and wait for the sun to come up.
I had grand plans for the long weekend, but it looks like the Kleenex box, the chocolate my parents sent for Valentine’s Day, and I will be lying low.
Pity party aside, here’s what’s been on my mind lately:
Reading a biography on every United States president: mission impossible?
I like listening to the New York Times’ Modern Love column even more than I like reading it.
Do you remember the PBS show Frontier House? Three families agreed to live as 19th-century homesteaders in rural Montana for four months. I watched as a kid, and am excited to revisit as an adult.
A Titanic replica to set sail in 2018.
A blog I’ve been enjoying recently.
Some Hamiltines for your Valentine.
What are you up to this weekend?
